Claude Team setup and training

Claude Team Setup and Training for Small Business

If your people use Claude on their own personal accounts, I move your company onto one Claude Team workspace, set up the way your work runs. If you're already on Claude Team and only a few people really use it, I train your team on their own work, one person and one job at a time. You own the account and everything I set up in it.

Setting up Claude Team

From personal accounts to one company workspace

Moving from personal Claude accounts to Claude Team

Anthropic's move is each person's choice and one-way. It's all or nothing, and only for an account on your work email. Where someone's account mixes work and personal chats, I write a guide for keeping both and copying over only what the company needs.

Claude Team admin settings

Who owns and runs the account, who needs a Standard or a Premium seat, which connectors are allowed, and the instructions every chat starts from. I set them with you and write them down.

Shared projects and files

One Claude project for each team or recurring job, holding the files and instructions everyone works from, so nobody rebuilds the same setup on their own.

Connectors to the tools you already use

Claude connected to your email, calendar and files, Microsoft 365 for example. I start each connector on reading and drafting, and the account owner can hold it there for everyone. Each person signs in with their own account.

A few skills for everyone

Skills are written instructions Claude follows for a recurring job. I set up a few the whole company uses, and the account owner gives them to everyone at once.

A walkthrough and a one-page guide

A live walkthrough with your team at the end, and a one-page guide to how your company uses Claude, for whoever joins next.

Claude Team training

Already on Claude Team, but only a few people use it?

Everyone's at a different place with Claude: one person uses it every day, one has barely opened it, one is stuck on a build. So I start one to one, on each person's own work.

One to one, a quick win each

A session with each person on one real task from their own work, starting where they are, whether that's daily use, a first try, a stuck build or a big idea with no first step. We get that task working live in the session.

Shared skills for the whole team

From what comes up across the team, I build shared skills, and your plan's owner turns them on for everyone.

A group session where it helps

When the team has something in common to learn, we do it together in a group session.

If one or two people only need help on their own account, that's Claude coaching.

Work I've done

For a commercial solar company, I led the setup of their Claude Team account on a live session with the owner, set up the staff seats, and built the team's Claude projects and connectors inside it, including Anthropic's Microsoft 365 connector on their Outlook mail, read and draft only, approved once by their IT and then linked by each person.

I also built the kit to bring the owner's work over from his personal Claude account: prompts that pull only the team-safe material out of his personal chats, and a step-by-step runbook. He parked the move, so the kit hasn't been run.

For the same client I built a meeting engine that turned a recorded meeting into a written record and task list. Their office manager isn't technical, and in a coaching session she ran it herself on a real meeting.

The plan itself

What Claude Team includes, and what it doesn't

Checked November 4, 2026

From Anthropic's own pricing and help pages. Anthropic changes its plans often, so check claude.com/pricing before you buy.

  • Who it's for, and what a seat costs

Team is for 2 to 150 people, and you can mix two seat types. A Standard seat is $20 a person a month billed yearly, or $25 billed monthly. A Premium seat has five times the usage of a Standard seat and is $100 a month billed yearly, or $125 billed monthly.

  • What comes with it

Every seat includes Claude Code and Cowork. The account has one bill, central admin, single sign-on, shared projects and instructions for the whole company. The owner chooses which connectors people can use and can limit what each one does, reading only for example, and can give skills to everyone at once.

  • Some of what's only on Enterprise

Role-based access, SCIM user provisioning, audit logs and custom data retention. Enterprise is $20 a seat a month plus what your team uses at Anthropic's usage rates, billed yearly, with a 20-seat minimum.

  • Moving from a personal account

Each person chooses whether to move, the move is one-way, and it works only for a personal account on the same work email. It's all or nothing: their chats, projects, files and Claude's memory come across together. Custom skills, sign-ins to connected apps and connectors they added themselves don't, so those get set up again. Cowork sessions, published artifacts and share links don't come across either.

  • Your company's domain

On Team, an admin can verify your domain and stop new personal accounts being made on it, but can't take over the personal accounts people already have. That's Enterprise only.

How it works and what it costs

Either one starts with a free call. You tell me how many people use Claude now, on which accounts, and what for. After it I send my written recommendation for the next step and its price, before you agree to anything. That next step is usually a short paid plan: who gets which seat, which projects and connectors come first, and who gets trained when. Your Claude seats are billed to you by Anthropic, separately from my fee. The whole route is on How an Engagement Runs.

Questions

How do I move my team from personal Claude accounts to Claude Team?

You set up the Team account and invite each person on their work email. Each person then chooses whether to bring their own chats and projects across or start clean. Some things don't come across, so I plan who moves what before anyone clicks, and you know what will need setting up again.

We're already on Claude Team, but only a few people use it. Can you help?

Yes. That's the training half of this page: a one-to-one with each person on their own work, shared skills built from what comes up across the team, and a group session where it helps. It starts with the same free call.

Do we need Claude Team or Claude Enterprise?

It depends on the admin features you need. Enterprise has some that Team doesn't, and they're listed on this page with the date I last checked them. If what you need is only on Enterprise, I'll tell you on the free call, before you buy any seats.

Which Claude Team admin settings matter most?

Who owns and runs the account, which people need a Premium seat, which connectors are allowed and what each may do, the instructions every chat starts from, and which skills everyone gets. I set them with you and write them down, so the next person who runs the account can follow them.

Do you sell Claude seats?

No. You buy your seats from Anthropic, and Anthropic bills you directly. My fee is for the setup or the training, and it's separate. I'm a Claude Partner Network member (2026).

What about our data?

The account, its projects and its skills are in your company's name, not mine. Anthropic sets out what each plan does with your data on its own pages, and your own adviser makes any compliance call. I don't give that sign-off.

Where to start

It starts with a free conversation. Tell me how many people use Claude today, on which accounts, and what you'd like them doing with it, and we'll work out together whether setup, training or both comes first.
